Just inland of the Lake Superior shoreline JT Olson stokes the fire in his downtown Ishpeming wood shop, a space he shares with a concrete counter fabricator. After spending near a decade on the west coast, JT returned to his upper peninsula roots to focus on woodworking. With years of experience in large-scale construction management, countertop sales,  and freelance project engineering, JT is well-versed in all aspects of the design and build process. His love of captivating simplicity drives his modern aesthetic; with a focus on functionality from concept to completion, JT's designs are carefully developed and beautifully crafted. With a local wood supplier less than a half-mile from his shop, JT hand-selects the wood for every project, immersing himself in the process of building each piece with focused intention.
